According to him, Bank Indonesia will continue expanding QRIS implementation across various business sectors in Riau Islands, including tourism, transportation, trade centers, local MSMEs, and leading tourist destinations that serve as regional economic growth drivers.
Going forward, Bank Indonesia hopes QRIS will no longer be viewed merely as a digital payment tool, but rather as an integral part of Indonesia’s national economic transformation capable of accelerating financial inclusion while strengthening the country’s economic resilience against global challenges.
The QRIS Jelajah Indonesia 2026 program itself is projected to become one of the country’s key agendas in increasing the number of digital merchants nationwide, accelerating digital economic integration, and strengthening regional contributions toward Indonesia’s increasingly innovation and technology-based economic growth.
